What does ‘KLM’ mean on TikTok?

‘KLM’ is actually just a shortened down version of the word ‘calm’.

It’s only actually one letter shorter than the word ‘calm’, so it’s pretty pointless if you ask me, but the slang term is taking over TikTok nonetheless.

Here’s what ‘calm’ means

However, just to confuse things a little more, ‘calm’ has a different meaning on TikTok too.

If you see someone writing ‘KLM’ they mean that they are ‘fine’ or ‘okay’.

For example, when someone asks ‘how are you?’ you can respond by saying ‘I’m calm’.

Don’t get confused with the other ‘calm’, which means soothing, tranquil or an absence of strong emotion.

The slang term is used across social media

You’ve probably seen people writing ‘KLM’ a lot on TikTok, but it’s actually been around on social media for quite some time.

The term was first used back in the early 2010s on Snapchat, and it’s since evolved onto TikTok.

Now you’re all clued up on what ‘KLM’ means, and you’re one step closer to knowing the whole TikTok dictionary. Just kidding, that’s impossible.
