Not sure an NFL debut could have been much better for the Washington Commanders‘ first round pick. Former Nittany Lion Jahan Dotson had mild expectations despite being drafted 16th overall in April’s draft.
Dotson would finish with an impressive stat line in his debut of three catches for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
The Commanders would go on to win the game in large part to the success of the passing game. Without Dotson’s plays he made early on in the game, then they would not have been in a position late to secure a win.
Not to mention he caught the game-winning play.
Despite being the number two receiver in Washington, it appears that Dotson is going to have a significant role this season for the Commanders. Social media was abuzz over his performance including some notable names and accounts sharing their excitement over the former Nittany Lion.
