Things will certainly be shaken up when energetic DJ and OnlyFans Kaila Troy enters Love Island as one of the Casa Amor bombshells.
The musician is one of two Dublin women announced in the latest line-up, along with a Belfast man.
With just six Casa Amor bombshells, Ireland will finally be well represented on the 2021 season of Love Island.
No doubt Kaila will be a new face to some viewers, however others may recognise her as she is a world-renowned DJ.
She is also a popular creator on platform OnlyFans, which was set up in 2016. The minimum subscription is $5 (€4.50) and goes up to $50 (€44.50).
Previously speaking to Extra.ie, Kaila admitted she hopes to change people’s perception of the website.
Many people’s perception of the website is that it is designed for people to sell nude pictures or pornographic content.
The Malahide woman, however, shared her plans to change such as she uses OnlyFans to release new music and offer fans a look at her day to day life.
Kaila, who in 2020 was charging fans $20 a month to access her content, said: ‘It’s crazy because my friend told me about this platform a while ago.
‘It’s this platform that allows people to monetise the content they’re posting on Instagram. I kind of looked into creating a profile and then I got sidetracked. Then, the pandemic hit and I decided to join.
‘After two days, there was already $300 in my account.
‘I don’t know about what other females are doing on Only Fans. I’m just doing what I do. It doesn’t have to be [the pornographic content that people post]. Whatever they want to do, I’m not doing that.
‘I found it crazy how everyone thought it was a platform just for one use only. That doesn’t even make sense because even in the title, OnlyFans, it could really go towards any industry that has a following or a fan base.
‘There are comedians on it now, some makeup artists are on it and fitness influencers. There is definitely a mix of people on the platform that are being smart and capitalising on their content.’
Kaila believes Only Fans is being ‘overshadowed’ by the negative connotations surrounding it. For this reason, she is now working alongside the company to ‘change the narrative’.
Now she’s ready for another adventure as she is set to mix things up on Love Island.
Ahead of entering, Kaila admitted she is ‘very competitive’, adding: ‘I wouldn’t have gotten where I am in work and my career if I wasn’t prepared to have a little drive and oomph in me.’
