Let’s Go Brandon Crypto Coin Suit Dismissed as Shotgun Pleading

A Florida federal judge dismissed a proposed class action lawsuit on Monday over Lets Go Brandon Coins, a meme cryptocurrency referencing the slogan used to criticize President Joe Biden, as a shotgun pleading.

The plaintiffs are individuals who invested in LGBCoins and are alleging securities fraud and other claims against a wide variety of defendants, including NASCAR and professional race car diver Brandon Brown, who allegedly engaged in a pump-and-dump scheme.

Judge Paul G. Byron of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida found that six of the complaint’s eight counts restated and realleged all preceding counts, …
