‘Layoff Feels Like A Punch In The Stomach’ Ex-Google India Employee Shares Heartbreaking Ordeal In LinkedIn Post


Google CEO Sundar Pichai shocked the entire tech industry at the beginning of the year by announcing a mass layoff. Search giant Google has sacked around 12,000 employees across the globe including India. At the time of releases, Pichai took the responsibility and confirmed that the employees will get full support from the company. Post layoff a series of posts from ex-Google employees has surfaced on the web and shared their experiences about the layoff.

Now in a new post Deepak Jain a former Google employee has shared a LinkedIn post. He was been employed at Google for almost two years, and unfortunately affected by the company’s mass layoffs. In a LinkedIn post announcing the end of his tenure at Google, he expressed that the current situation feels like being punched in the stomach. Despite this, he remains thankful for all the opportunities that he received during his time with the company.

Despite feeling like a punch in the stomach, Deepak Jain expressed gratitude for the growth opportunities and milestones he experienced during his almost two-year stint at Google in his latest LinkedIn post.

He acknowledged the company’s support in his development, having worked with an exceptional team of tech consultants and gained valuable knowledge in stakeholder and project management. Deepak also enjoyed working in a cross-functional role, allowing him to collaborate with various teams and amplifying his learning at a massive scale.

Furthermore, he thanked his senior employees at the company from whom he has learned leadership qualities and the importance of collaboration and teamwork. He ended the note with writing that he don’t know what’s going to be next him and quoted Larry Page’s popular saying I’m uncomfortably excited for what’s to come.”
