Dwayne Johnson is probably the biggest name in Hollywood right now, but even he couldn’t outshine the legendary footballer who has taken his number one place on the Instagram rich list.
Now, Johnson – who is often known as The Rock – is one of Hollywood’s most beloved celebrities and there is seemingly not a thing he can do wrong.
But now, it seems as if Johnson has been knocked from the top of the Instagram rich list by one of the biggest names in football.
The fact that the Man United forward is at the top of the list isn’t really a huge surprise, however, how much he earns per post is pretty mind blowing.
According to the list, Ronaldo earns a reported $1,604,000 (£1,168,000) per post, which is absolutely ridiculous.
But it’s not as if Johnson is slipping either as he racks up a reported $1,523,000 (£1,109,000) per post.
The rest of the top five consist of Ariana Grande in third, Kylie Jenner in fourth and Selena Gomez in fifth.
With the combination of his salary, endorsement deals, as well as his business ventures, Ronaldo has now reached billionaire status.
However, despite winning off the pitch, the Portuguese star has found it difficult on the pitch since returning to Manchester last year.
United have had a tough start to the season, to say the least, and after the managerial sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the team haven’t exactly bounced back with new head coach Ralf Rangnick.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Ronaldo said that without the right mentality, the team will not close the gab on those near the top.
He said: “Impossible – I think it’s the main point. I don’t accept that our mentality be less than being in the top three in the Premier League.
“I think to build up good things, sometimes you have to destroy a few things. So why not – new year, new life and I hope that Manchester (United) can be the level that the fans want. They deserve that.
“We are capable of changing things now. I know the way but I’m not going to mention it here because I don’t think it’s ethical on my part to say that.
“What I can say is we can do better – all of us. Manchester (United) belongs to important things, so we have to change that.
“I don’t want to be here to be in sixth place, or seventh place, or fifth place. I’m here to try to win, to compete.
“I think we compete but we are not yet in our best level. But we have a long way to improve and I believe if we change our mind, we can achieve big things.”
