Prayagraj: Cops have launched a fresh probe into fake social media post wherein an unidentified man, posing himself LLB student of Allahabad University had uploaded an objectionable post against the chief proctor, Allahabad University, Harsh Kumar on July 1. The objectionable post, according to police, was uploaded against the AU’s chief proctor wherein futile suicide attempt photograph was projected and this post also went viral on social media.
Deputy SP (Colonelganj) Ajeet Singh Chauhan, however, told TOI that that this post was completely false and delusive. He also said that an FIR has also been lodged against an unidentified social media user on the complaint of AU authorities. Cops, meanwhile, claimed that this post was intentionally uploaded to defame the AU’s chief proctor. However, fresh hunt has been launched to catch the offender.
Meanwhile,AU’s chief proctor had on July 2 written to station house officer (Colonelganj) alleging that “ On July 1, an unidentified LLB student of AU along with someunidentified men had uploaded a photograph projecting futile suicide bid photograph( hanging pose) along with a letter on social media to defame me”.
He also claimed that proctor’s prime jab was to maintain discipline on varsity campus. As section 144 of CrPC was already clamped on varsity campus. This objectionable post was intentionally uploaded to disturb peace, law and order as well as study atmosphere inside the varsity. tnn
