CLIFTON — Clifton’s Veterans Day Parade is one of the few that remains in the area, mostly due to its organizers who raise enough funds to keep it going. Their biggest fundraiser, a food truck and arts festival, is scheduled for Sunday.
The festival will be held at the City Hall complex, 900 Clifton Ave., from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Veterans Day parade committee members said some of the top food trucks in northern New Jersey will be on hand with their signature fare.
Expected to participate are the Empanada Lady, Father and Son Roasted Corn, Flava Chef Jamaican Cuisine, Greece Lightning, Harry’s Lil Kitchen, Hitting ur Belly, Latin Bites, Mexi Boys, Mr.Coopers Funnel and Palmas Catering, Uncle Louie G Italian Ice and Ice Cream, Gerry D Catering and Eat My Balls.

A beer garden will also be set up for the event.
As they sample the many food treats, those who attend can also browse exhibits from local artists and explore their children’s creativity at the craft station.
“You are guaranteed to have a full day of fun, fabulous food, tasty drinks and brilliant art, all while enjoying exciting musical performances,” said Veterans Parade Committee Co-Chair Keith Oakley.
Musical performances include Tequila Rose from noon to 2 p.m.; La Cabinera from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and Alternate Groove from 5 to 7 p.m.
Admission is $5 and children 36 inches tall and shorter enter for free. There will be free parking at the venue and also at Clifton High School, 333 Colfax Ave., just behind the municipal complex.
