Dozens protested outside The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing in Rome after a woman posted a video alleging mistreatment.
The Grand’s vice president, who responded to the video earlier this week, says the allegations are not true, and says the woman has made other questionable claims against other nursing homes.
The video got a lot of attention, and her daughter organized the protest.
“You don’t have to believe RaeJean Wallace. You don’t have to believe Ruth Wallace, but add me on Facebook. I’ll share a hundred other stories with you of what’s happened in this building,” said Ruth Wallace, the protest’s organizer.
“We don’t have to agree with everybody’s opinion, but they do all have the right to express it. We feel we provide a good service. We provide quality care, and we’re proud of the staff, and we’re proud of the job they do,” said Bruce Gendron, vice president of The Grand.
Gendron says the health department is reviewing the allegations made in the video that was posted.
