The Reminders app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac allows you to tag tasks as different priorities and keep yourself organized.
Reminders are a useful way for you to keep up with the seemingly endless list of tasks we all have to complete. Luckily, Apple has its own Reminders app to help keep you on top of this. But what if you have so many tasks to do that you need to organize them in order of priority?
Introducing priority tags!
This feature on Apple’s Reminders app allows you to organize the tasks you need to do to from highest to lowest priority, ensuring you never miss a deadline again.
What Is a Priority Tag and Why Should You Use Them?
When adding a new reminder into the Reminders app, you can assign a priority tag, choosing from Low, Medium, or High. These help you to organize your tasks so to help you work on the most crucial tasks first, such as those with harder deadlines.
Priority tags can be added when creating a new reminder, but you can also retroactively add them by tapping the reminder and tapping the Priority section to select which priority tag you want to assign to it. Alternative to-do list apps for iPhone may offer further customization on organizing your reminders, but this is all the native iOS app has to offer.
You can easily add Priority Tags to reminders by following these simple steps:
- Open the Reminders app and create a new reminder.
- Tap on the Details icon to the right of the reminder.
- Scroll down and tap Priority.
- Select either Low, Medium, or High for the priority.
You can also follow these steps to retroactively add a priority tag to a reminder you’ve previously created.
