GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — A Germantown Municipal School District administrator is under fire for a social media post.
The Memphis Holler, a popular political watchdog account on Twitter, shared a screenshot of a Facebook post from Janna Matykiewicz.
The post says, “What is the difference between vaccine papers and a yellow star? 82 years.”
Nazis forced Jewish people to wear yellow stars to identify themselves during the Holocaust.
According to the school district’s website, Matykiewicz is the assistant principal at Houston High School.
FOX13 shared the Twitter post with the school district and asked if they knew it and if they would discipline Matykiewicz.
In an emailed response, the district said it is aware of the statement on social media, and the matter is under investigation.
Tonight on FOX13 News at 9, Jacque Masse pushes for answers about Matykiewicz’s employment status and takes a look at a petition asking the district to fire the assistant principal.
